DOG AND CATS

Dogs and cats are the most frequently transported animals in Austria. Required documents include:

Microchip identification compliant with ISO standards.

Valid rabies vaccination, given at least 21 days before travel.

EU Pet Passport or official veterinary health certificate.

Veterinary clinical check confirming the animal is fit to travel.

Tapeworm treatment for dogs when required by destination countries.
