DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED TO TRANSPORT PETS IN ESTONIA

 

Transporting pets to or within Estonia requires compliance with Estonian and EU regulations.

 

At Animal Transport EU, we manage all the necessary veterinary visits, paperwork, and customs procedures to ensure full compliance.

DOG AND CATS

 

To transport dogs and cats into Estonia, you need:

  • An EU Pet Passport or Animal Health Certificate issued by an authorised veterinarian.

  • Microchip identification compliant with ISO 11784/11785 standards.

  • A valid rabies vaccination, administered at least 21 days before entry.

  • Tapeworm (Echinococcus) treatment for dogs, required when entering Estonia from certain risk countries.

  • A veterinary health check confirming the pet is fit to travel.

We handle all coordination with the Estonian Veterinary and Food Board to make sure your pet meets every requirement.

BIRDS

 

Bird transport to Estonia requires:

  • A veterinary health certificate issued within 48 hours of departure.
